1) I'm running Windows Vista and it ran fine for about a month.

2) It now locks up on booting just before the "verifying VMI pool data" message.

3) If I wait for the cursor to stop flashing I get the message "ARC firmware boot config did not properly generate ARC name for HAL and system paths."

4) I have no idea what this means?

Well research shows thats a common prob with vista and according to journalists microsoft is well aware of it(whatever)

what you can do in the mean time is to see if you can update your vista OS.

seems this is just another reason why users downgrade back to xp.
