Hi,
I upgraded my RAM on my compaq computer to 1GB, once everything was done and plugged back in I restarted the computer and the monitor (hp) now say VGA input no input signal. I have read some of the other answers on the forums about this and I have tried unplugging everything, I have checked the insides of the computer to make sure everything is in and nothting is loose. My computer is booting up all the lights are on and the fan is running. It's just the monitor now, It goes to sleep right after the message comes up. I dont have time to try to push anything. Please help. This is the first time it has done this, and its after we put the new RAM in. Before this everything was fine. Thanks for your help.

I would bet that the memory card is either mounted incorrectly or the upgrade is not right for the computer. In both these cases, your startup routine will not get to the point of starting the monitor and you will get no signal...but the computer lights will come on.
