Hello all, I am hoping some will be able to help me. I have a system that I built over a year ago that has some problems now. First I will give you the system's information. Motherboard is A8N-SLI Deluxe, CPU is AMD FX-55 2600, 1x Asus EA800XL video card, Seagate 160 Gig IDE Hard drive, Maxtor 120 Gig IDE Hard drive, 4x 512 Kingston Ram 3200, Coolance ExpposII liquid cooling system, DVD, CDRom and flobby. The Maxtor is the orginal hard drive in this system, Daughter downloaded anime movie with virus included early summer. Being a big music collector ( 3000+ songs), I opted to buy another hard drive and try to later save info on first one later. Enter the seagate. I took the computer to my job and had my assistant ( smart kid now in college) install hard drive and install Windows XP OEM edition. Computer back up and running great. Took computer home and it wouldn't power on. Replaced case (wanted bigger full size case anyway) and power supply, Powered up computer and no display but power now. Called Asus in regards to video card, They suggested sending in both motherboard and video card under warranty. Great! After three weeks got them back installed everything back into computer with only one RAM chip in slot B1 as per manual, only one CDrom drive and Hard Drive, mouse and keyboard. Bare bones system. Boot system and I have a display no post except the short beep that it is going to boot . Can enter BIOS no problem, computer goes to SAFE MODE page, and no matter what you select it reboots. Put in Windows XP OEM Edition disk, computer loads drivers and freezes as it says starting windows. Even though I get no post for bad RAM I have swapped out all of the other ram chips I have to make sure it isn't a RAM problem. I even went as for as putting a clean hard drive in and it still freezes after loading drivers needed to install windows xp. Any and all Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks TK
