Im working on this laptop that has me just confused. Its a 17" widescreen and the right portion of the screen is solid black. Its like the extra bit of screen from the widescreen wont come on. Windows thinks its there b/c it extends past the black spot. I was thinking maybe something with windows but even the bios has it cut off. So does booting to CD. I was just wondering if anyone had any input. I would think that it woule either be the motherboard or the actual LCD itself. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-JR

I forgot to add that if you use the vga on the back of the laptop it shows up on another screen in whole just fine, which is one that made me rule out windows. And as far as the bios goes, there is no setting there for any adjustments.
