Hi all, Im a new member and would really appreciate any help.

I have a Dell Inspiron 9300. My niece was using my laptop and its not powering up anymore. She says she only closed the lid and left it. Basically When I press the power on button, all I get is the power light turn on for couple of seconds and goes off again. I hear no noises, no fan/processor/hard drive noise.

I have removed the battery and tried powering up with just the AC power plugged in, I get the same issue. The difference being is that when the battery and AC power are both in, I see the green Battery light blink very slowly.

I have tried to power up after taking out my cd drive, I have taken out RAM modules and put them back in securely... I have tried moving about the connection where AC power goes in, but to no avail.

Have you already tried running your system with one memory stick installed and testing one stick at a time in both slot? Test also the output voltage of your AC power adapter.
