Is it normal be receiving upwards of 11 million bytes and sending 2 million?
Yes, it is normal to have 10.5 MB received and sending 1.9 MB when you surf the internet. This could be because you may have downloaded something, been to loads of websites, or have been chatting. Don't worry about the bytes as you will have to divide them by 1024*1024 to get the value in megabytes. On a normal 1 hour web surfing session you can expect to download 2-5MB and send 0.5-2MB, and this value increases if you are playing an online game, where communication between the server and your computer is essential, or an online chat etc etc.
