Hi
i want to know if anybody know how to clean an infected explorer.exe file. My mcafee 8.0 is unable to clean it it is called the w32/bube.gen virus, in addition to that i have the Nail.exe program that keeps reproducing itself along with a few other programs such as efefe.exe and efvefefe.exe. i have used programs such as ad-aware personal editon in safemode and in normal mode. Not to mention Hijack-This, if there is anybody out there that can help me that would be great.

The bube and nail.exe infections are, unfortunately, a couple of the more stubborn nasties; general utilities lke McAfee, Ad Aware, etc. won't be of much use.
1. For the bube infection, please follow the procedures outlined in the link below carefully and completely:

2. Once you complete the above, run HijackThis and post the log here. Once we review the log we'll be able to tell you what needs to be done next.
