Not recommended for use as it is hit and miss regarding the removal. The fix that is being used at present is working well and not installing any other baddies on the system :).

I believe it does work for some, but not for others. What we do not know though, is what is the uninstaller installing?

My advice to you with Aurora if this simple cleanup does not work is to format your hard drive. Get any important files that you do need onto a laptop/another compy/a backup CD and then wipe the compy.

This is because Aurora is one of those viruses that gets into registry keys, and can be scanned easily out of any infected files. So scan the files right before you move them. When the compy is wiped, no more Aurora. Then you can simply put the files back.

This is time consuming but it is the one way you can guarantee to get rid of all viruses. Next time you'll be more careful what you download and you'll have AdAware handy! Won't you?!

Right here :D. Grab hijackthis and post it in your own thread and we will sort it out for you.

Download HijackThis selfextracting zip version from here. Once downloaded, double click on the file & it will install into it's own, permanent folder.
Start HJT & press the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. When the scan is finished a window will pop up giving you the option of where to save it. Save it to desktop where it is easy to access. Open the log file and copy the entire contents of the file & paste it into the body of your post. DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET. Most of what is there is necessary for the running of your system.
