I recently had a worm invade my computer. I ran a program called F-Prot, did a scan in safe mode with it, and it found 16,000 infections. I can still access the net, but I'm getting these annoying "Email scanner by proxy" with the Symmantec logo popping up every 5 seconds in the lower right-hand corner of my screen. It has also slowed down my computer considerably.
Here's the log:

Is there any way to avoid an entire system erasure?
Thanks!
