So yesterday my computer started acting up. It has a constant lag. The CPU useage jumps from 12 to 100 and then bounces from 75 to 100. I do not understand why this is happening. Also when I turn on my computer the screen will go black, then idle, and then finally go to the opening of my windows. I heard trojans can slow down your computer drastically, so I am wondering if this is the case. Anyone, Please help!!!!

ok, if you havn't ran a spy ware check, do so first.... then, check all the processes running >> Windows Task Manager >> Processes. Usually those programs using the most RAM are taking up all the CPU usage as well. If you find programs on there that you don't recognize and spy sweepers did not remove, do a file search for them, you can probably find a file folder with those programs and remove them and their DLL accordingly. Finally, go into your registry and in Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Run, you see all the apps that boot up when you start. Give that a try and keep me posted.
Still not noticing anything that stands out to me. There is a lot of svchost.exe files running though. I also ran three types of spyware. No luck, there was one file found, and I fully deleted it. Still choppy, and still jumping. It's so bad that music stutters. :sad: So I am thinking maybe if i post my hijackthis log, you could have a look.
