I only have basic knowledge of pc's. However I have a notifier that keeps popping. To get rid temporarily I Cntl, alt & del. then end task. I have put a blocker on my internet access and this has made the problem less frequent but it is still happening. I have tried to defragmant and delete all cookies but this doesn't work either. Does anyone have any step by step help for a non techie.

run ad-aware, spybot S&D, windows defender, and what ever anti-virus program you have then run hijackthis and post the log file. For more information on how to do this go here
