Ok, so... me being the foolish computer amateur I clicked a link which, norton DID warn me about :-| anyway, I've got a mix of spyware, adware, malware and trojans on my computer. Norton isn't finding anything at all and I've been doing a full system scan every night since I installed Norton. However it does warn me about the trojans every now and again saying "Access to the file has been denied." and then "This file has been deleted." Yet it still seems to come back.
My IE homepage has been changed to (http://www.uptodateprotection.net/) which says:
"Attention! Your system is currently vulnerable to computer attacks. Remote intruders can gain access to following files and folders on your PC:
- \Windows\System32
- \Program Files\Internet Explorer
- \My Documents
- Drive C:\ files"
Also, I'm getting the same prohibition warning sign on my toolbar as Bubles in another post. Mine has several different warnings though, including "System performance monitor: Warning" and another about malware performing malicious attacks. An Adware and Spyware warning. Lots of ads for porno have been popping up aswell. Sometimes I leave my computer on over night to scan with Norton or some other reason. When I get on it again the next day I have 25+ ads for porno, via IE.
I've tried a System Restore but it doesn't work. It won't even restore to the day before
I've got so much stuff on my computer now and I would hate to have to format again. So please help in anyway possible. I am going to download "HijackThis" after this is posted so I will update this post if anything changes.
Thanks in advance.
