I keep getting the same error message when Windows XP starts: C:\system32\bridge.dll module cannot be located. I have run hijackthis and my log is as follows:

I have run Ad-aware 6.0 and Spybot S&D, as well as SpyBlaster. The only issue I am having now is the bridge.dll module not being able to be located. If someone could please tell me what I need to delete from this log of hijackthis to resolve my issue, I would greatly appreciate it. I have never had this problem before, and it is driving me up the wall. Thanks in advance for your help.

Important: Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT.
Unzip HijackThis into this folder. When you run HijackThis from this folder and have it "Fixed checked" it will create a backup file of modifications to use if restore is necessary.

Then do this .
Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

Thanks so much for your quick response. I did everything you suggested in your response, and after I rebooted the last time to run another log I did not get the message. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing...but I'm assuming it is a good thing. Here is the new log that I received from running HJT. Please let me know if you see anything out of the ordinary that you feel I need to do. I did notice that I could not delete WinToolsA.exe. I heard that it was very difficult to delete and I thought it was gone, but obviously it is not. Thanks again for your time and help. O4 - Startup: PowerReg SchedulerV2.exe can go as it is undecided as to whether it is spyware or not. Either way, it's not needed.
I would also stop Realplayer, Quicktime player, & a few other things out of the startup folder to save on resources. Microsoft office etc.

Thanks for all of your help, crunchie. My system is no longer having the issue when booting up and receiving that error message. I thought I was going to have to reinstall my entire operating system. Something I did not want to have to go through again. I also took your advice and took out the items you indicate from the last HJT log I submitted. Everything seems to be working great now. I can thank you and caperjack enough. Now I feel as if I have a place to come if I ever run into serious problems that I am unable to work through on my own. I can get through a lot of things, but never having used HJT left me a little stumped, and I did not want to take any chances. So thanks very much. I appreciate everything. I am also looking at downloading some more of the software that you have listed at the bottom of your replies. I have some of them and they work great, but I feel I can be better protected. You have got so much stuff running that it's no wonder your poor old comp is having hiccups. Yours is probably the longest clean log I have seen :) . Go through each entry & decide what you do not need running at start up & set it/them to not start in Msconfig. Stuff like Nero check, all that canon stuff, Logitech etc. Not your system stuff.
Go to www.blackviper.com & you get a lot of good info on what you can disable in services at startup.
