Hi.

I have a powerbook g4 with Tiger on it. I was using file vault and I made a new password, but I lost the paper that i wrote the password on. Now I am locked out of my main account because both my administrator password and filevault password is the same. I can now only access a severely restricted guest account on my computer. After coming to terms with having to loose all my information, I finally decided to try to reformat the hard drive and reinsttall OS X. However ever time I try to it asks me to put in an administrator password. How do I get around this? I know file vault cannot be broken, thats not what I'm trying to do, I'm just trying to begin fresh and totally wipe the hard drive. How do I do that in my situation?!

Reboot from the installation CD by putting it in and simply rebooting the computer holding down the C key.
