My MacBook Air laptop keeps shutting off everytime I turn it on. I don't know what i should do. Help?

How old is it?
Does this happen when it is running on battery or while it is connected to the power cable?
Is it plugged into the electricity socket? Does the electricity socket have a switch to turn it on? Is the socket switch on?
Does this happen when there is nothing else connected to it?
Do you normally close the laptop before it has completed shutting down?
How far does it go before it shuts down?

Its 2 Years old.
It happens when I connect the cable and when it's not connected.
I don't think it has a switch.
I close it when it's totally shut cdown.
Like 15 seconds
