Hi folks, having a spot of bother with XP desktop, its black and I can't change it, if i click on start it shows all program icons but no text, if I open a program the page is black with just icons showing. it's fine in safe mode and if I change wallpaper in safe mode it just goes back to none.

well first off go to filehippo.com and download the following programs:
Spybot S&D
CCleaner
HiJackThis
run ccleaner first
run spybot and check for updates and immunize it and then run a scan with it
now do a scan and save logfile with HiJackThis and post the logfile here
