Hi all,
I need to know how my ISP works ,but the reason why i put in the here is that ,i want some guide for XP.

that's a bit vague, but if you want an introduction to how ISPs work, check out the ever-so-informative wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISP

follow the various links throughout the page, and after hours/days of reading, you should have a pretty good idea.

could also be like mine (cox)...when you call they have no idea themselves
