My cpu began to slow down so I followed some advice from responses in a post I put up, still did not fix it after exhausting hours of cleaning and such. I had backed up my system with windows back up utility a few days ago and so I went to restore it,full backup and system state, and BLAM,,, it goes through the windows welcom screen then a black screen lock up with no keyboard lights. I then put win xp fresh install on a nother slave drive to fix my main drive, now niether will boot!!!! HELP please!!!

Why not start to install windows on you main drive and when it gets to asking if you want this copy of windows repaired, press "R" and repair your old instalation?
