I just bought two HP laptops with Vista. I downloaded the following print driver so that I could print to my existing (non-network) Konica Minolta Magicolor 2400W printer: 24w_v32_e driver from the Konica website. There are no "old" Konica print drivers loaded on these laptops. I also verified that the laptops are running the 32-bit version of Windows Vista.

When I hit "print" from either laptop, the printer responds as if its going to print (e.g., the ready light starts flashing), but it won't actually print until I re-boot the laptop. I'm experiencing the same result from both laptops. Any ideas? Thanks.

hmmm, any other print drivers installed? this can definitely interfere

if it won't print try to do this
start -> run -> cmd
net stop spooler
net start spooler

then see if the issue is resolved
