My computer has encountered a problem that I dont know where to begin to fix. When attempting to startup the screen becomes scattered with no real visual and then goes black. At first I thought the light was out, but after trying to restart I realized that wasnt it when I was able to access safe mode. In safe mode I ran a virus scan but nothing was found. I dont understand why I can access the desktop in safemode and the screens come up, but in regular mode nothing happens. I also keep getting a screen that attempts to fix the startup problem but then says that windows cannot automatically fix the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this or what the problem could be? Thanks in advance :)

In safe mode try system restore and post the result
