My hard drive on my old desk top crash out about a week ago and i was wanting to know how can i fix this? I have tried restarting the machine and it keeps popping up "No OS Found" and i tried to install ubuntu 8.0 with failed attempts and i am still having problems getting it to come on. Any advice on what is going on?

hi,if the hard drive is dead,not spinning ,you may need to buy a new hardrive to fix your problem ,did you try booting to a/your windows disk and reinstalling it
