Hi,

I've searched for this problem on DaniWeb and google, but I can't find anything that's exactly the same.

Basically, after browsing the web for a while, browsers on my Windows XP desktop PC won't bring up any pages. This seems to happen after downloading a certain amount of data - I can't work out the size, but it happens after a few hundred MB. This includes file downloads, YouTube videos, demos etc.

When I try to go to a website, or click a link, or even refresh the current page, the page changes to a blank page, with 'Done' in the message line in Firefox. There are no errors, or connection messages - just a blank page! This is the same with Firefox, Opera, IE, and Chrome.

My wireless broadband router is still connected, and I can still access anything that connects direct, rather than via a browser (e.g. anti-virus updates, even large Steam downloads still work).
My laptop (Vista) does not have this problem, nor my PS3 and Xbox 360.

I use Bitdefender internet security, and have tried turning off the firewall. I have also done a full system scan, and run various anti-spyware scans, registry cleans etc.

The only thing that works is rebooting the PC!

I can run a HickjactThis report, but I suspect it's a problem with Windows. Any comments will be gratefully appreciated.
