Is there a decent piece of software that will allow backup of DVD to AVI - been searching for days but getting totally lost. Happy to purchase this but don't want to purchase a 'lemon'

There is also free program...very easy to use. Search on google for dvd videosoft. You can either just get one part of the program...dvd video converter...or the whole suite which comes with youtube tools, mp3...etc... 38 mb file for the whole thing. I like it. You can also convert avi to dvd with it...and more.
