Since reinstalling windows 7 ultimate I cannot place a deksktop shortcut to internet websites.

Message pops up say shortcut already exists in folder?

Confused.

hi, can you right click on the desktop and choose new and choose shortcut ,and create a regular shortcut .if yes,highlite the url,[copy it ] to the website you want to shortcut and paste it into the new shortcut,give it a name ,and away you go .
