ok,i was just about to upgrade my system installing a new graphics card and mobo. before upgrading i uninstalled my old graphics and motherboard drivers, then upon restart to complete uninstallation i get the blue screen with error

stop: 0x0000007b (0xBACC3528, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

the only thing i have tried to resolve the problem is running chkdsk /r but i still cant boot in normal mode or safe mode.
does anybody know of a solution or am i just going to have to reinstall windows xp?

thanx

thanx for the reply i think i have narrowed down the problem, when i built my old system i had an asus a8v mobo and had to install aditional via sata controllers to get my sata drive to work. i now have a new mobo the asus a8n with an nvidia chipset could the old via sata controller be causing the blue screen, if so can i remove these sata controller or use an alternative?

thanx

A Windows Repair might do it for you.
