Hey guys. I've recently seem to have deactivated my main partition. I was messing around with my partitions and propably deactived it. Now if i start up my computer it just stops me dead. At first it told me: reboot and select proper boot device
Or insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key. So i inserted the Windows XP Sp2 installation Cd in and booted it from there and went into the recovery Ms-dos like thing. There i messed around with the master boot record, made a fixboot nothing worked. Until i figured out that i must have deactivated my partition. How do i reactivate it??? without loosing data. because on the windows Xp installation Cd the manual recovery thing doesnt seem to let me do that!!! help please

Try to get hold of a windows xp pe boot disk do a search on google this has windows xp and a few handy tools loaded on to let you access all your files and folders. From there you could reset your partitions or try and activate windows online hope this helps.
