**i have a dell laptop latitude E6410 running on windows XP. whenever i connect to a wifi or wireless network, my computer detects it and connects, with all the features looking good but i just cannot use my browsers, mozilla firefox and explorer. what could be the problem and how do i solve it? **

You might have dns hard coded to some value so that the dhcp'd info doesnt get applied.

Maybe you have some proxy setting applied that could be interfering.

I was working on a Dell Lititude D400 recently and had similar issues. I was letting Windows control the connection. I found that Dell had its own program for controlling the connection and when I used it the problems went away. You might look in the control panel to see if you have a similar program.
