Hi, i've not been here in a while. I have been having problems with my HP 2000 Laptop. Sometimes whn i shutdown, hibernate or sleep it takes a long time. Also when it restarts, it displays the message "Windows did not shut down correctly". Any help???

Which version of Windows?

Please do the following:

Click on Start > Right Click Computer > Manage

In the window that opens, look in device manager and tell us if there are any errors reported there.

Next, look in Event Viewer > Windows Logs. Look in 'Application' and tell us about any errors reported there over the past day or so, especially repeated errors.

Still in Event Viewer, look under 'System' and tell us about any errors reported in the last day or so, especially repeated errors.

You can copy the reported error by highlighting it and use 'CTRL C'.

Have you made any changes to your computer recently?
