I have been trying to re-install office 2000, on a win2000 pro PC, and keep getting a "the administrator has set policies to prevent the installation of software" error. I un-installed office, because of a problem with microsoft outlook not communicating with our exchange server. I can browse the entire network, so I know that I have connectivity. There have never been policies set on this computer, which is why it is really bugging me. I've never had this problem with other pc's in our district. Is this a quirk in windows, or is it looking for the original install path? We have changed our servers around in the past. I did install outlook, from a separate cd, with no problem, but office 2000 won't cooperate! Help!!!
