hello i have a hp pavilian 520w installed a new WD 80 gig when i try to load xp it keeps telling me that there is still and OS on the drive.???
this is a brand new dirve. and it keeps wanting me to format the drive
what am i doing wrong iv never ran into this before installing a new clean drive befor HELP!!!:eek:

Can you get to a command prompt and run dir command? the hdd might've been a return.

well i got it going probly my fault i didnt use the install disk from WD i load it and let it format the drive and BAM! it took off . lol man and u would think for someone thats done this 500 times Thanks for the help
