Now is Vista a new Operating System or is it an upgrade??? I recently just purchased a laptop and we were talking about Vista and he said the it was an upgrade disc that doesn't format your hard drive. To me it sounds like it is a Upgrade not a new Operating System.
No, it is a fully new operating system. However, just like you can upgrade win 98 to xp with no formatting you can do this with vista. But it is definately a brand spanking new os.
Did you get a free upgrade to vista with your laptop?
No I didn't get the disc in the box, but I can send away for it for free
I would definately do that then if i were you. It is a major upgrade for microsoft windows so I would get it.
