i just got a new router and i want to set up my laptop wirelessly. i have a dlink wbr1310. what do i do?

this is an easy one. i'm a wireless network tech.

First log on to your router, ip address 192.168.0.1. under the wireless tab, determine what you ssid is, if you want change it to something you can remember.


in your laptop wireless configuration tool, on the task bar, right click and choose connect to a wireless network. when you see your coresponding ssid click connect and you are good to go!

log on to your default router ip address, with Dlink it sould be 192.168.0.1, and find out what your ssid is. then use your laptop wireless configuration utility and scan for ssid or networks. find the same one in your router and tell it to connect. bravo your done!
