honestly you can build a very basic PC (windows or linux) and install Boxee on it and you'll have something a lot like Apple TV, probably more versatile too.

Apple announced it would be putting a new product on the market: Apple TV. I believe Apple has listened to the customers this time.

You're right but is still does not matter cause you just need a monitor to connect to it and it will act like a real tv.

I only know It's a a small form factor network appliance designed to play IPTV.
