I agree, with jwenting.

IE will almost always remain my browser of choice unless I am on a non ms system. Even on my mac I prefer the crapyness of Safari to that of the quirks of Firefox.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Dang, Might have to get me one of these for fun! dani get me one so I can write a review :p

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I couldn't really hear C#, C was just fine for me though.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Have you tried contacting apple customer support? or looking at their FAQ's ?

and mike, please if your not going to post something constrctive, please don't post at all.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I've never heard of either of those games.. WHAT TYPE OF GAME DO YOU WANT TO MAKE.

SHOOTER
RPG
ACTION ADVENTURE
ECT ECT

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I'm actually a nintendo fanboy at heart and will always be one. I am however very partial when it comes to new things, I really don't think the system is over priced, that is a large bunlde with lots of extras :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categories/systems/xbox360/

So It seems that the rumors that MS would be raising the prices were misconcived. But to be honest even for 700 USD thats ALOT of extras to go around.

Looking forward to getting one, one way or another,.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

What genre?

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Well what sort of game do you want to make first...

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Did you try googling it? also can you get the rest of the first line?

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

What specificly was " broken" from the motherboard...

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Please, like everywhere else Brinne, wait at least 12-24 hours before bumping your post.

Please also take the time to read this specific forums rules

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Don't use the usb port to hook it up?

If you use the ethernet card you shouldn't need a driver unless it has some PPOE software. then your SOL it seems.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

You should probally contact their customer support :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

No, not under any normal circumstances...

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Moved to C++

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Then you don't have the specific codec that the asf file was coded in.

You can try VideoLan or the k-lite codec pack, both can be found on google :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Whens the last time you defrag her computer? How about other general windows maitence?

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Then when you see that screen press any key (not THE any key)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Safari is less compabitle since as far as I've seen. Honestly, Firefox is going to be your best bet and friend if your are already using it.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

No clue, if you are really running windows xp then it shouldn't be an issue, IIRC Raposody is that program from real networks right? they should have customer support as it is a paid to download program no?

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Hi everyone,

If by bad code you mean bugs then i mean not only does Microsoft have them but almost all products do. Its something that's understandable. What i don't like is the spyware Microsoft bundles with its softwares to send to its headquaters. If the user know about i then its okay but don't try to hide them. I think alot of you guys remember the windows media fiasco.

I think the worst thing people are most angry about Vista is that they are planning to drop support for opengl. That made alot of game developers and gamers furious but lets see what happens in the future

Richard West

Where did Microsoft EVER say it was droping OpenGL support?

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

No Idea what Morphix is.. but chances are you wanted to boot to the CD ;)

Make sure Morphix is livecd and not a version of linux that will install itself to your pc if thats not what you want.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

If you don't like IE5:Mac don't use it, get Firefox, and it should handle everything fine.

To uninstall WMP, drag the app to the trash :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Not sure about it comming preinstalled, but I would assume Apples X11 would be more tuned towards the PPC arch and any apple specifics :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Check the bios ;)

Thinking more, are you sure that the system can even handle a drive that large? Older machines have problems with large format drives.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Not sure if you can... off the top of my head I can't remember what the difference is with embedded but I believe you might be facing one of the problems.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I have a 19" LCD which has an actual viewable area of 19"; what's the viewable area on the 22" CRT?

About 20~ inches depending on the maker.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

To be honest, I am not sure if NT4 even supports that option, but it is truely time to upgrade the box and the OS if you are still running NT4.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Have that board, you NEED the cd it came with to install the nForce drivers :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Where does one get all the money for a AMD64x2 chip! :p

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Does your webspace have a MSSQL server attached locally or remotely?

Are you sure you just didn't make a SQL file? or a MySQL database dump?

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I used to be a huge fan of WD, and one of my drives is still a WD.

I've moved onto segate, after working with some enterprise level stuff, and getting a 200gb drive from them (PATA) I am very impressed with the speed and power of such a quite drive. 99% of the time I'm going to be looking for a new seagate drive :)

But I also have other drives (mostly non choice), I have a 30gb in my Mac Mini (unaware of who makes it) and I have an 80GB in my devbox which is a maxtor (who I am not a huge fan of).

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Not sure where to go for uk sites. I'm a big fan of newegg personally

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Two :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I've never heard of jeantech so I can't comment.... might want to broaden your search to other websites.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

That would require a 2000/3 server that you can run IIS on. At the very least.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Without some sort of server running, I don't see why it would open a php file, let alone parse it. You should be opening php files that reside on your local system via a text editor.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Sounds like your new Drive just doesn't support SMART for some odd reason...

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

How much ram do you have? Games like Warcraft take ALOT.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I'm on the ATI bandwagon, but I've expirenced nothing but pain from the XP 64 builds, I'd suggest backing down to WinXP Pro untill the 64 bit line of XP has more ready drivers.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I'd recomend upgrading your powersupply just to be on the safe side personally.

Go with somthing 450 or above :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Chances are you video card steals some of your onboard ram :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I've got a 19" CRT and a 17" LCD :)

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Disable every norton product you may be running.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Well silly question here, are both computers in the same workgroup?

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

You should consult The makers of the software.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

I suggest installing to the standard IDE harddrive, and not to the SATA drive.

You can't use RAID 0+1, you don't have enough drives.

When the windows installer starts it asks for secondary drivers, you can press f6 and load a floppy disk and it will be able to get the raid drivers that you require.

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

No, rarely do you lose anything anymore, so many files are cross compatabile, its not back in the year 1998

Zachery 43 The Geek Father Team Colleague

Generally the first rule here is, we aren't going to do your work for you, we will however help you if you are making an effort.
