Check Google, the images has been circulating for a while but I'm not sure whether they are real.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Most likely next year in 2012. Depends on how good Sony is doing in the gaming market. If not, they might release the PS4 earlier to try to grab its customers back.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

HI MoZo1, I don't think you can make the time to load the widgets faster.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Then try this. It is still an alienware laptop but just different model and this time is way under your budget;)

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Take a look at the Alienware laptop below. It is close to your budget and have everything a professional gaming laptop has.

Best of luck and if that does not work, you can either stick to using an external monitor or get a new laptop since the Compaq Presario C500 is quite an old model.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

riddle me this , if it shows on an external monitor ,how could it be a video card problem ,sounds more like a bad lcd[cable/plug] connection to the motherboard problem to me ,did the new lcd screen you bought come with its own connection or are you using the original cable

Lol. Half of your post is repeating mine.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Stop posting in thread that has not been replied for a long time. How many times must I say. There is no such thing as cooler fan only cooler!

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Do marked this thread as solved, thanks.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Might be some loose connection to the screen. You can't really say it is a board problem unless the graphics card is integrated with the board. You might want to take it to a technician if not you can just use an external monitor.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Your hard drive is fauly, follow caperjack's advice.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Some parts in the old router might be failing thus causing the problem. Glad that your problem is solved:)

rhodge09 commented: thanks +1
jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

I want the model number not the serial number, western digital is a brand.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

What router and modem are you using? It can also be some parts in the router that is going faulty. Disconnect your modem from the router and try connecting to the modem using the ethernet cable for two days. See whether your problem occur if not that means your router is having a problem.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Did you install the drivers and what is your hard drive model?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Try cleaning the dust away on the heatsink and fan. If your PC is old, you might want to apply a new thermal paste between the heatsink and the CPU.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Or by placing that hard drive in another computer. Basically its still the same method suggested by caperjack. Lol. Most likely you need to clone the data to a new hard disk and use it.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

It could well be an overheating issue as well.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

In a Nutshell: You can't protect flash drive from being formatted by other people;)

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

I don't think you can do that. Encryption is possible but protecting it from being reformatted is something i have never heard before. Maybe you can try changing the write permission for the flash drive.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Usually press with other buttons as well to change the brightness and volume of laptops. Something like combo.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Between the two, I would choose motherboard as that the most common causes.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Thanks for the specs but the problem is very broad and it will be very difficult to actually diagnose the source and help you. Try taking to a repair shop and have an expert to closely look at your problem. Sorry for not being able to help you

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

What PC are you using and what is the model number? Are you good with PC, if not I suggest taking your computer to have an expert to look at it, your problem is very broad and there are many reasons that can cause a black screen.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

holy crap, every one should chill out. Seriously, this is a 5 year old thread I started when I was young and dumb. I remember that job and it was an unpaid internship. During down times, my coworker and I would try to mess with each other. That was a crap long time ago.

Holy crap you're back:D. I agree let's just allow this thread to R.I.P

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

You are welcome, do mark this thread as solved.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Can you tell me what is the beep sounds you heard?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Plug in when you want to backup your data to that hard drive using Time Machine, if not in use just plug it out. There are no pros but the cons is that your hard drive may get corrupted easily.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster
jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Last resort try formatting your hard disk.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Just to add in case you are " really viewing " this thread. The router control panel is your router IP address. username and password is usually admin for both.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

What cwarn said is just clearing the prefetch folder but btw its still a good trick:)

@ Crunchie

Thank the person who revive it;)

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Go to your router control panel and look for something like

Network Address
Server Settings (DHCP)

Go and disable it.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

When you mean secured networks do you mean networks that is protected with a password protected like WPA? Make sure your firewall settings is configure to allow password protect networks or other security softwares you have.

Reset your linksy router. At the back of the router there is a reset button use something and hold down the button for 30 seconds ( old models ) and 10 seconds for ( newer model of linksy router).

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Not busted but bloated. But never mind, did you test out using a spare monitor. Try to find spare parts or ask your friend to lend you. Is anything thing loose inside your computer?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Besides the video card check the motherboard for any bloated capacitors.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Have you found a cure cause I have run out of ideas. Does other user account ( if you have one ) on your mac face the same problem as you?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

I need to clarify this clearly. Just straight answers ok, no others.

1) Can you connect to the Wifi ?
2) Can you connect to the internet using an ethernet cable ?
3) Does any other family members have problem with this?

Make sure Wifi switch is turn on.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Instead of hiding your dashbard in login items in system preference, delete it instead. It won't harm the dashboard app. Your dashboard may start slow due to a lot of widgets in it, low ram or less hard disk space left. Try downloading onyx and run it. Restart your mac and see whether your dashboard takes long to start up.

By the way how do you start up your dashboard? Pressing F4 or clicking on the applications?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Sorry for the late reply, certain softwares can slow the network down or maybe even normal use. But all the best and see you next time:)

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Do you mean a facebook page? There is one

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Cheers, Javanoob101;)

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Its a funny thing that dashboard will start up on its own. What is your mac version? Also, try going to /Library/StartupItems. See whether the dashboard app is shown there.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Can you connect using a cable?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Why is your post so long?

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

So are you using the cable now? It speeds up the connection compare to connecting wireless. You might want to try a final test with other laptops conencting to the same network and see whether it is slower. A ping test is also good, it can check your connection speed. All the best:)

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Do a system restore to two weeks ago and see whether that helps.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

You might want to do a malware bytes scan just to be on the safe side although I have never heard of a malware that can randomly minimize screens. Does this happens when you are watching movies ( full screen ) or using other softwares that are full screen. If the problem happens to other softwares, it can be a setting problem.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

No it won't. If you found after the upgrade your files are missing, don't panic. It is probably still in your hard disk just that it has been moved to another folder. You can still locate it back.

jingda 135 Industrious Poster Featured Poster

Edit:Good luck and do come back next time:)

Reason: Sorry I forget that your problem is solved.
