Hello -

We are trying to do a restore which is started manually (not an agent job) via rdp. I'm being told that the restore fails if the the rdp session shuts down. I don't think this would cause the restore to stop. I haven't seen the error logs yet, but was wondering if anyone had experienced anything like this. Using SQL 2008, connecting via rdp from an XP machine. Thanks.

It depends on your rdp policy I set mine to logoff activity if left idle for
Xxxx min. Also some policys if you get kicked off if starts a new rdp session but I can't see a SQL restore taking for then 45sec if being done locally.
