please help me. i connected two system using a cross over cable, and was able to see the remote servers in both systems but i am experiencing a connection problem to the remote computer.
how do i connect to the remote sql database server?
and how do i replicate between this two database?

Are you trying to connect using SQL management studio? If you've validated network connectivity as you described, then simply type in the host name or IP address of the remote server along with credentials when prompted by SQL studio.
