does anyone know why grapfic.h does't work on microsoft c++

Because it's a Borland extension?

so what the the extension for microsoft

no, it's a DOS extension from Borland. I've no clue about what the Microsoft equivalent was, would be part of Microsoft C 1.5 or so.

dont think ms has one as ms tends to push the use of Win32 GUI for graphics... oh, hang on, yes there is a glaringly obvious one. Direct X. You will need to download the runtime libraries from somewhere though :(

as a sidenote i think djgpp (c/c++) had a graphics lib with it making use of MS-DOS gfx

and then there's OpenGL which is native to C++ (including VC++).

look just give me a example, for example a basic program which will use the graphic.h

That's not what you asked initially. I'm sure had you asked that, someone would have done that by now.

or dust of a very old book on Turbo C++ 3 or older.

do you want an example of a c++ graphics program? (ie NOT graphics.h...)

There are a ton of graphics functions in the Windows API. DirectX and openGL add more stuff! Got to leave those Flinstonian times behind. It's learning time!!!

I have googled, have you?

yes i do, do you want an example of a c++ graphics program? (ie NOT graphics.h...)

Example file from DevC++

You wont get very far copyn and pastn the code though!! you will need to learn the OpenGL library to gain any sense of it :)
