Some requirements:
- Solid understanding of C++
- Strong OOP concepts
- A decent mathematics background
- Strong logical reasoning
- Knowledge of API's like DirectX or OpenGL
If you have done C++ from the tutorials on the internet, you need to read some good books since tutorials just scratch the surface.
