Can we execute the j2me MIDlet programs in any mobile phones we are using ?
Is there any difference between the mobile phones we are using to talk to each other and mobile phones that are able to execute j2me MIDlet programs?

Most of the standard phones let you run JME applications with no problems (only limitation is libraries available to device) There are some Windows CE based that do not support JME and iPhone with Android are NO-NO for midlets. You need to just check specifications of the mobile device to see if it does support Java
