Hi

I hope this is the correct place to ask this question, if not then would certainly appreciate any help in pointing me in the right direction.

I am looking to make/have made some simple software for a college project. I need to use DTMF (from a mobile/cellphone or digital walkie talkie) to remotely control a PC. Initially all I want it to do is when I press key 1 on the device, that the left mouse button clicks.

Once I have got things up and running, the project is to apply this in practical ways.

If anyone knows of software already in existance, a development platform or even a reasonable place to have the software custom made it would be much appreciated.

Method (if you know a better method again please advise)

1) Mobile/Cellphone – Phone call over skype to mobile, when keys pressed on phone the software reads the DTMF tones and left mouse click made.

Or

2) Phone to phone and microphone pics up DTMF and left mouse click produced.

3) Digital Walkie Talkie – Digital walkie talkie to another digital walkie talkie (D-Star or similar), 2nd one connected to computer and software reads DTMF tone.
