Hi there friendly people of daniweb. My problem is that when i double click an executable jar file, nothing happens. Even when i use command prompt and type java -jar "filenae" it doesnt work. Any ideas why?

Do you get an error? If so, please put the text of the error message in your post.

Did you create the jar or get it from someone else? If you are creating it yourself, this article might be useful.

thanks for the help kramerd. ive solved the problem. apparently the jar file (which was given by my tutor) had a missing library file. couldnt execute it because of that. solved.
