Hi folks..
I'm in search of desktop nofication api's apart from the basic(default) one that java already provides. Can anyone direct me to some good links . Its better if it is free of cost.
I found this nice one but its not free.

I think you're right. Depending on what you want it's not hard to create a JDialog with a graphic from a file as background and a few icons here and there...
Maybe JavaFX would be better for really snazzy graphics?
