What are requirement to learn ASP.NET (hardward, software, background?) Any responses are appreciated.

Programming IMHO needs a certain mindset.
You have to think in a certain way. Apart from that .NET requires a PC running Minimal Win XP (Maybe 2k works). As for hardware anything that will run Win XP.
Background, if you know any programming language it will help. C# and VB are pretty much the same in regards to ASP.NET.
As long as you have an open learning mind you should succeed.
