This isn't so much a help thread more of a discussion.
I have this idea that once I have a lot of users in a database that I can then grab them from a drop down and place them into the template like a webpage etc which can be printed as a pdf.
The whole point behind this is that I am fedup of this type of software being over-expensive for the simplicity behind the idea.
What are your views on this type of market?
This seems like existing technology (open-source too) to me. I've rolled my own using jquery and tcpdf a number of times:
drag/drop can be done - see jqueryui for example: http://jqueryui.com/droppable/#shopping-cart
tcpdf is a nice html/php -> pdf
