Hello, I am working on a cms system for my website. Its going pretty well and most of the features I want are working. I do have a slightly more advanced question. I dont know if this is the proper forum topic but the site is in php so ill just give it a go. How should I handle the expires header? I can not get this thing in my head, should I use it to decrease the server load? Or should I just not bother with the whole thing? I was thinking to setting the expires header with the sms system, my problem is I do not know how the expires header works, any tips?

You're talking about caching control. It of course can decrease the server load if the pages are cached.
