I'm trying to learn this difficult Javascript type language. In the meantime, in the event that I need some code right away before I've learned it, is there a place on the web where people share AS3 code that I couldjust copy and paste in my SWF or attach as an external file?

dreamincode.net is the only place I've found that folks will freely share Actionscript source code. To be honest, the code is so dependent on what you are trying to do that it's difficult to customize it for your own uses.
