It is known that having inbound links is of outmost important in SEO but does having links from topic related sites helps in getting on top pages in Search engines ?.....Also,there are multiple examples of pages with top rankings who have inbound links from unrelated sites.....So, what is important? Having inbound links from related sites or any inbound links will help.........
Relevancy is the major factor considered by Search engine, so stop avoiding creating useless irrelevant links. Do create more relevant links.
Very important - the inbound links must be related to the context/content of the particular page without your site so it can carry more SEO juice.
