I got a virus in my computer these are my simptoms
Fire fox shutdown
I install some antivirus and they dont update
Internet does not run with an antivirus install
Also could you recomend me some good programs to protect my computer

Ok i fix the fire fox shut downs
Now all i need is to try and update my antivrus and melaware

Hi and welcome to daniweb, sorry we missed your thread.
What anti-virus did you install? Other than a Norton update scheduler I don't see any other entry related to an anti virus program.
You have at least one questionable program on the computer, SweetIM.
Do the following:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBA-M) to your Desktop.

* DoubleClick mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install MBA-M.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When MBA-M finishes, Notepad will open with the log. Please save it where you can find it easily. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt.

Reboot the computer

Run a new HJT scan and post back with the MBA-M log and the new HJT log.

Hi Judy thank you for the welcome
Here is my information to clear things up I had AVG untill i got the virus i guess i forgot to update and any other antivirus i intalled it never whants to update and i cant conecto to the internet

Now I installed Avast latest version and i could conect to the internet with this antivirus the only thing is that a cant update Melaware or Avast here are the logs you ask me for i did all the steps you ask me to do

What happens when you try to update?

I get a message
Update fail make sure you got an internet conection ad your firewall allows melaware to conect to the internet
and Avast also does the same

I went to the fire wall and i add them to the permission for the update but it always fail

What firewall are you using?
If you want this computer clean you will turn OFF all the P2P sharing programs and leave them off. If you don't want to do that then I doubt the computer can be cleaned.

What firewall are you using? I don't see ANY firewall on the system.
To stop that Roxio program do the following:
Go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Scroll through the list, it is in alphabetical order, until you get to RoxLiveShare9. Double click the entry. When the property box opens click Stop at the bottom and in the middle change the Start up type to Disabled. Click ok.
Close out services and reboot the system.
Are you able to do Windows Updates?

Yes i could download windows update but Avast and Malware dont du automatic updates

Can you do manual updates? Malwarebytes' does NOT do automatic updates unless the program is purchased but WILL do manual updates whenever needed. I am not certain about Avast as I don't use that one.
