Hi. I would really appreciate some help. At first I couldn't open my Malware bytes - so i researched it and changed the exe to bat or scr and it worked I scanned and pulled out nearly 500 infections. I downloaded spybot and haven't gotten it to function quite right with the same technique - I think i did it to hijack this too. I am doing another mbam scan now so i can post the log. I am posting my hijackthis log if anyone can help - i put the log through the analizer and fixed 3 items that were questionable and i couldn't id. I'm worried about fixing anything else - because at this point I no longer know what to do - I promise to follow the steps to the best of my ability and I will post more logs. Okay - I'm getting through the steps - I am still trying to complete an online scan - although I did one with housecall in the very begining and got errors on my threats list - which I have never seen before - usually just malware or something. When I clicked remove - something happened and I lost my connection. I went through the steps and rescanned with MBAM - it found found an infected windows file and was set to delete on reboot - upon reboot I had to manaully stop and restart - I wasn't doing anything for quite a while. I have included my MBAM log in this post - and once again any assistance would be awsome. Thanks!

Please update MBA-M to the latest database (2340) then run it, reboot and post it's log after doing the following.

Can you please do the following.

You will have to disable Spybot's Teatimer before we begin, as it will interfere with the fix. To do this can you start Spybot and go to the Mode button and select Advanced. Go to Tools > Resident and uncheck the box next to Tea-Timer. Make sure that the icon in the system tray is no longer there. If it is, just right click on it and select "Exit".
Download the attached file:
ResetTeaTimer.zip

Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat to remove all entries set by TeaTimer.
Do not forget to re-enable teatimer when we are done :).
If teatimer gives you a warning afterwards that some changes were made, allow this instead of blocking it.

I am getting started now...thanks! I'll post when I get done. I'm gonna delete spybot for now - I screwed up the install- same for mbam - I have both versions dowloaded - I was having a hard time running them - I'll get the log though - and get rid of spybot - Trend Micro is still running as my primary security. Okay - I have done what you've said...my browser isn't hijacked - or at least i can click on a button and it will take me there...however, I can't run mbam. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, turned off trend micro and tried to run...no luck. Then I started changing the extensions again, but this time it won't work. I love mbam, and something must still be wrong because I always used it before without a problem. What should I do now? Thank you so much for getting my browser back! Here is my HijackThis log
